Billion-dollar deal with GSK pushes HUTCHMED stock higher

HUTCHMED signed an exclusive global development and licensing agreement with a GSK subsidiary for HMPL-A830, a KRAS‑EGFR‑directed antibody‑drug conjugate, with a potential total value of up to $1.295 billion. HUTCHMED will receive $110 million upfront and can earn up to $1.185 billion in milestones plus tiered royalties; GSK receives rights outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, while HUTCHMED retains those territories. The deal is seen as validation of the ATTC platform and foresees the start of a global Phase I program in H2 2026. GSK reports positive phase‑2 data for mRNA flu vaccine and plans phase‑3

GSK presented positive phase‑2 results for its mRNA influenza vaccine at a scientific conference; the vaccine elicited stronger immune responses in younger and older adults compared with licensed inactivated vaccines and was well tolerated. The company plans a phase‑3 efficacy study in September that will for the first time test an mRNA flu vaccine against HA and NA. FDA places GSK drug Jemperli on priority review

The US drug regulator FDA is giving priority review to GSK’s colorectal cancer drug Jemperli (dostarlimab) and has set a review deadline through February. Jemperli also qualifies for the priority voucher program, which can shorten the approval process. GSK expects the drug could make chemotherapy, radiation and surgery unnecessary for some patients; the company also reported approval of Hibsago in Japan for chronic hepatitis B.
