Komax delivers strong August figures, new CEO to take over in Q1 2027

Komax recorded in August a 46.7% increase, the strongest monthly rise in its stock-market history after a rebound from a low level. The company reported order intake of CHF 311 million for H1 2026 (+12.2%) and improved the operating margin to 6.1%, while exchange-rate effects dampened earnings momentum. Komax appoints Roger Albrecht as new CEO, to take office in Q1 2027

Cable machinery maker Komax has elected Roger Albrecht as its new group CEO; he will assume leadership during the first quarter of 2027, with chairman of the board Andreas Häberli remaining interim head until then. Albrecht joins from Rieter, where he most recently led the Components & Technology division, and brings long-standing management experience, technological understanding and financial expertise. Kepler upgrades Komax to 'buy' and raises target to 90 CHF

Kepler Cheuvreux has upgraded Komax from "hold" to "buy" and raised the price target from 55 CHF to 90 CHF. The move is justified by an expected cyclical trough, strong order intake (order intake H1 +12.2%, book-to-bill 1.14) and a growing order backlog. Kepler sees higher adjusted EBIT and EPS expectations for 2026/2027, points to ongoing efficiency programmes and portfolio adjustments, and expects more room on covenants.
