Kyndryl: AI deployment boosts outlook despite revenue decline in Q1
At the Citi Global TMT Conference Kyndryl reported a 3% revenue decline in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 but reiterated its full-year guidance of flat to -2%, which includes a 3-percentage-point headwind from reduced IBM content. Management expects low-single-digit revenue growth in 2028, supported by backlog, new bookings, US growth and hyperscaler services. Artificial intelligence and roughly 1,600 deployed agents are expected to increase productivity and profitability; Kyndryl also emphasizes capital discipline, an investment-grade rating and share buybacks (about 8% of outstanding shares repurchased). » More on de.investing.com

Restructuring charges of $152 million weighed on the results; adjusted EBITDA fell about 21% to $512 million and the margin dropped to 14.2%. Free cash flow worsened to -$459 million, and although Kyndryl Consult grew 10% and the hyperscaler business 34% and the full-year outlook was confirmed, investors still reacted negatively and the stock fell about 3.6% in morning trading. » More on de.investing.com
