Mitsubishi Materials share falls after announcement of „70 billion convertible bond
Mitsubishi Materialsâ stock fell 7.3% after the planned issuance of a „70 billion convertible bond was announced, split into tranches maturing in 2030 and 2032. Conversion prices were set at „5,275 (2030) and „5,105 (2032), and the offering is expected to be placed mainly with institutional investors in Europe and Asia. ReElement Technologies, an affiliate of American Resources, agreed a strategic collaboration and minority investment from Mitsubishi Materials to bolster rare earth and critical mineral supply chains in the US and Japan. The partnership will combine feedstock sourcing, preprocessing and ReElementâs chromatography-based refining technology to expand domestic refining capacity and evaluate recycling commercialization in Japan.
