  • Sto shows operational turnaround after weak previous year

Sto increases sales in the first half by 3.7% to €805.5m and records a 7.7% sales rise in the second quarter as well as an above-proportional EBIT increase of 20% to €30.5m (margin 3.8%). The building materials group reports a strong balance sheet with net financial assets of €100m and an equity ratio of 63%, enabling acquisition opportunities without external debt. Weighing on results is a negative operating cash flow of -€19.2m after inventory build-up and continued weakness in China; nevertheless the share appears attractively valued versus peers with an EV/EBIT of 7.5. » More on finanzen.net

  • Sto increases profit in first half and confirms full-year forecast

Sto increased sales in the first half by 3.7 percent to €805.5 million (currency-adjusted +3.9%). The operating result (Ebit) rose by 20 percent to €30.5 million, and net profit climbed from €16.3 million to €18.5 million. Management confirms the full-year forecast: sales of €1.62 billion and an Ebit of €56 to €76 million. Regionally there were declines in the Americas and Asia‑Pacific due to U.S. dollar weakness, the discontinuation of a Canadian business and weak demand in China; the stock rose sharply intraday. » More on finanzen.net

  • Sto weighs on first quarter: revenue decline and higher personnel costs

Sto reported a 1.9 percent drop in revenue for the first quarter to €318.5 million. A cold, wet winter and a persistent construction slowdown weighed on business, while higher personnel costs increased the seasonally typical deficit compared with the previous year. Higher procurement prices caused by the Iran war have not yet had an impact. Group CEO Rainer Hüttenberger confirms the annual targets and reports sales growth in April. » More on finanzen.net
