Ørsted shares climb about 2.1% to 138.8 DKK after RBC Capital raised its rating from “Sector Perform” to “Outperform” and lifted the price target from 120 to 180 DKK. Citigroup confirmed the positive view with a 165 DKK target. Ørsted starts commercial operation of Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm
The offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund 3, owned by Ørsted and Nuveen Infrastructure, has begun commercial operation. The park delivers 913 megawatts from 83 turbines about 70 kilometers off the North Sea coast, equivalent to the output of large gas or coal-fired power plants. Long-term power contracts secure deliveries to industrial and technology companies, such as data centers and the chemical industry; it is Ørsted's sixth wind farm in Germany. » More on finanzen.net
Profit-taking weighs on Ørsted shares after Q2 figures
Ørsted reported adjusted EBITDA of 5.44 billion DKK in the second quarter, beating analysts’ expectation of 5.1 billion DKK, with the offshore segment contributing 4.4 billion DKK. Despite the positive result, management left the full-year guidance unchanged, triggering a “sell the news” reaction and weighing the stock by around 2.4%. The price remains well below the 52-week high as investors continue to view the capital-intensive offshore expansion and portfolio restructurings cautiously. An analyst and investor conference was scheduled for the same day and could further influence short-term price movements. » More on de.investing.com
