Science Group achieves record profit after sale of Ricardo stake

Science Group reported an adjusted operating profit of £23.1m for the year to 31 December 2025 on revenue of £111.7m. Reported operating profit rose to £40.9m, including a pre-tax investment gain of £24.1m from the sale of a 21.8% stake in Ricardo, which delivered a return of more than 70% in five months. Reported profit before tax was £41.5m (2024: £14.7m), reported earnings per share were 75.1p; adjusted undiluted earnings per share were 40.2p. Ricardo applies for block-listing of 2.3m shares for employee plans

Ricardo has applied to the Financial Conduct Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block-listing of 2,297,406 new ordinary shares with a nominal value of 25 pence. The shares are to comprise 162,922 for the 2021 Deferred Bonus Plan and 2,134,484 for the 2020 Long Term Incentive Plan.
