  • Sanlorenzo expands into the US and builds 74 Steel Virtuosity with a fig tree

Sanlorenzo unveils the 74 Steel Virtuosity, a five-deck superyacht with unusual features such as an integrated fig tree, pools, underwater windows and fuel-cell experiments. The builder positions itself as the international number two behind Azimut-Benetti, posts high margins and focuses on the 24–75 metre size class, where demand is more stable. However, the sustainable 50 Steel with a biomethanol fuel cell lacks fuel supply, so the technology has seen little uptake so far. Sanlorenzo is also negotiating to acquire a US builder to benefit from tax incentives and tariff advantages. » More on faz.net
