Applied Energetics has appointed Dr. Matthew Seaford, former director of the Portfolio Management Office of the CHIPS Program Office, to its advisory board. Seaford brings experience from CHIPS, defense and intelligence programs as well as leadership roles at the CIA and will advise the company on expanding its photonics platforms. At the same time, Applied Energetics secured $10.8 million in a private placement, successfully demonstrated its PLAID drone‑defense system and appointed additional executives for product and governance roles.
