BriaCell reports that its personalized but “off-the-shelf” melanoma vaccine candidate Bria‑MEL+ has reached a genetic-engineering milestone that advances the program toward clinical development. The stock rose about 25% in the morning and later gave back most of the gains. Bria‑MEL+ uses a saliva test to select prefabricated treatment cell lines to enable personalized therapy without individual manufacturing; the program builds on an immunotherapy for metastatic breast cancer and is intended to be expanded to melanomas and prostate cancer. Bria‑IMT has FDA Fast‑Track status; the phase‑3 study in combination with checkpoint inhibitors is ongoing and an interim analysis is expected in the first half of 2026.
