Weak licensing business weighs on Games Workshop despite record revenue and profit
Games Workshop reported a 10.9% revenue increase to £659.7m and a pre-tax profit of £275.7m for the 52 weeks to 31 May 2026. Licensing income, however, fell by around 37% from £52.5m to £32.9m, which the company attributes to a one-off product launch in the prior-year period. Games Workshop shareholders approve retrospective payments and higher directors' pay
Shareholders of Games Workshop voted at the general meeting to retrospectively approve payments to non-executive directors that had exceeded the limits previously set in the articles, and approved an increase to the annual remuneration cap. Resolution 1 was passed with 99.34% of votes cast (24,121,746 votes, about 73% of the share capital); Resolution 2 to adopt new articles was approved with 99.57% (24,140,705 votes, 73.06% of the share capital).
