Goodwin is considering sale of substantial parts of its engineering division

Goodwin has launched a strategic review that could lead to the sale of a substantial part of its engineering division. Affected units would include GSC, GI, Noreva, Easat and Pumps. Rothschild & Co is advising the board; discussions are underway, but there is no certainty of a concrete transaction. Goodwin posts significantly higher operating profit thanks to robust demand

Goodwin raised operating profit for the half-year to 31 October 2025 to £37.2m, up from £17.1m a year earlier; revenue grew 27.4% to £135.6m and gross margin improved to 49.3%. The order book stands at £330m, the engineering division benefits from strong demand from the defence and nuclear sectors; refractory technology also delivered robust revenues.
