Heritage Global reported a net loss of $15.9m in Q2 2026 (diluted −$0.46), driven by about $21.7m of non-cash write-downs related to the wind‑down of Heritage Global Capital. Heritage Global announces the extensive wind-down of its specialty finance division Heritage Global Kapital and expects a material non-cash write-down of distressed loans in the second quarter of 2026. Heritage Global is acquiring, in an all-cash transaction effective Jan. 1, substantially all of DebtX’s assets for about $8.5 million through its subsidiary Heritage DebtX LLC. The acquisition is intended to strengthen the Financial Assets division, expand its presence in the loan secondary market, and add advisory, valuation and market data capabilities for loan portfolios.
