Kainos raises guidance — shares jump almost 20%

Kainos issued a trading update indicating that results for the year to 31 March 2027 are likely to be well above market consensus. Kainos CFO transfers 1.5m shares to wife amid divorce

Richard McCann, CFO and COO of Kainos, transferred 1,521,822 ordinary shares to his wife Kerry McCann without consideration as part of an ongoing divorce; together they now hold 4,631,476 shares (3.92%). In addition, McCann exercised 544 share options from the SAYE 2022 scheme on 11 December 2025 at a price of £9.92; the delayed reporting of the exercise was attributed to an administrative oversight. Kainos: revenue up 7%, order intake rises 27% — adjusted profit falls 16%

Kainos reports revenue of £196m (+7%) for the first half of 2026 and a record order intake of £228m (+27%), lifting the order book to £397m. Adjusted profit fell 16% to £32m due to higher investment and increased costs, and cash conversion fell to 48%.
