Brown & Brown reorganizes business segments after acquisition and consolidates specialty business

Brown & Brown will combine the “Programs” and “Wholesale Brokerage” segments into a new “Specialty Distribution” segment effective July 1, 2025, and will report going forward in “Retail” and “Specialty Distribution.” The company is adjusting historical segment data, completed the acquisition of Accession Risk Management Group from Kelso & Company for about $9.83 billion, and acquired assets from Tire Shield; however, analysts including Wells Fargo and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods voiced concerns about weaker organic growth.
