Manitowoc pivots to service and solutions provider to reduce cyclicality
Manitowoc is shifting its strategy: the goal is for 50% of revenue to come from aftermarket and service offerings rather than new equipment sales. Aftermarket revenues have risen from about $375m in 2016 to over $700m; the business has gross margins of roughly 35% and is targeted to grow to $1bn. Order backlog is above $1bn, leverage has fallen below 3.0x with a target to be under 2.0x over the cycle; at the same time management plans selective acquisitions, buybacks and investments in rental fleets, locations and service personnel. » More on de.investing.com
Manitowoc approves stock plan, elects nine directors and confirms Deloitte
Shareholders approved the revised Omni 2025 compensation plan, allowing issuance of up to 1.8 million additional common shares and raising the total number of shares available under the plan to 3.6 million. At the annual meeting, nine directors were elected to one-year terms and Deloitte & Touche was confirmed as the independent auditor for fiscal 2026. The advisory vote on executive compensation was approved. Separately, the company reported weaker Q1 results with EPS of -0.13 and revenue of $494.6 million, both below analyst expectations. » More on de.investing.com
Manitowoc: strong order growth in Q4, stock plunged sharply on tariff concerns
Manitowoc reported Q4 2025 EPS of $0.32 and revenues of $677m, both above expectations, while order intake in the quarter rose by about 56% to a backlog of $794m. Despite the revenue and demand increase, the stock fell more than 12% premarket as investors fear the burdens of tariffs and uncertain macroeconomic conditions. For 2026 the company forecasts net sales of $2.25–2.35bn and adjusted EBITDA of $125–150m, but also expects improvements in pricing and EU tower crane performance, while free cash flow and adjusted EPS were under pressure in 2025. Manitowoc emphasizes its CRANES+50 strategy and aftermarket growth, but sees short-term risks from tariffs and inflation. » More on de.investing.com
