  • Planet Labs trades at attractive sales multiple but dilution and volatility pose risks

Planet Labs, a developer of LEO satellite constellations, now trades around $25 and about 27x this year’s sales, cheaper than peers like SpaceX and AST SpaceMobile. Revenue grew from $131m in fiscal 2022 to $308m in fiscal 2026, EBITDA turned positive in fiscal 2026, and backlog rose 72% year-over-year to $906m, driven by defense and intelligence contracts. Analysts forecast strong revenue and adjusted EBITDA CAGRs to 2029, but outstanding shares have risen 36% since IPO and recent at-the-market offerings and insider sales increase dilution and potential volatility. Investors may find the valuation appealing for long-term growth but should be prepared for significant share dilution and price swings. » More on finance.yahoo.com
