RWS to acquire Acolad – shares jump more than 12%

RWS has announced a binding agreement to acquire Acogroup, Acolad’s parent company; the stock then rose about 12.4% to 108.3 pence. The transaction carries an enterprise value of £22.4m and total consideration of £40.2m, of which £17.8m will be paid in cash, and no liabilities will transfer to RWS. RWS plans takeover of language services provider Acolad

RWS has announced a binding agreement to acquire Acogroup, the parent company of Acolad. Acolad employs around 1,200 people across 22 countries and offers localization, interpreting, transcription and AI-powered content services through a network of more than 10,000 linguists. RWS expects the transaction to close by 31 March 2027, subject to the French information and consultation process and other regulatory approvals.
