Large order and price-target increase boost Sandvik stock

Sandvik received an order from Kamoa Copper worth SEK 275 million for underground mining equipment for the Kamoa-Kakula mine, including a fleet of underground trucks and loaders — two of the loaders are equipped with autonomous AutoMine technology. The order will be booked in Q3 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to begin before year-end. Disappointing order intake knocks Sandvik share down 7%

Sandvik shares fell about 7.1% in trading after the Q2 report, as order intake of SEK 37.80bn missed analysts’ forecasts of roughly SEK 39.24bn. Revenue (SEK 36.75bn) and adjusted EBITA (SEK 8.31bn) beat expectations, but the weaker order intake is seen as a negative signal for future demand. Sandvik reports Q1 EPS of 3.27 SEK versus a forecast of 3.26 SEK, while revenue of 30.7 billion SEK missed the expected 31.22 billion SEK. Order intake reached a record 36.8 billion SEK; orders rose 23% organically and revenue increased 15% organically.
