Symbotic already generates material robotics revenue as Tesla's Optimus remains unreleased
Symbotic reported over $2.2 billion in revenue for fiscal 2025 and analysts expect about $2.8 billion this fiscal year, with a backlog of $22.5 billion. The company’s automated warehouse systems are commercialized and primarily sold to Walmart, which accounted for 85% of 2025 sales and remains central to Symbotic’s pipeline. Growth has been slowing and the stock is down about 27% year-to-date, so Symbotic is presented as a complement to, not a replacement for, Tesla in the robotics space. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Symbotic reports strong Q3 with profit, shares fall after hours
Symbotic increased revenue in Q3 by 22% to $721 million, adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $95 million, and the company posted a GAAP net profit of $55 million after a loss a year earlier. The non-GAAP gross margin improved to 25% and software and service revenues grew significantly. Despite the strong results, the stock fell after hours as investors weighed the outlook, margin trajectory and timing of key growth drivers such as SymMicro and new warehouse configurations. For Q4, Symbotic expects revenue of $760–780 million and adjusted EBITDA of $100–105 million. » More on de.investing.com
Symbotic seen at risk of valuation compression as execution and backlog conversion concerns mount
Symbotic reported Q2 revenue of $676.5 million, $77.8 million adjusted EBITDA and guided Q3 revenue of $700–720 million, while holding a contracted backlog of about $22.7 billion. Bears argue the market is pricing in flawless backlog conversion and margin stability, leaving little room for delays, customer concentration issues or deteriorating unit economics. With a high forward P/E (~92.6) and significant execution sensitivity, the thesis warns valuation could compress materially if deployment cadence or margins weaken. » More on finance.yahoo.com
