TTI recalls 780,000 Ryobi pressure washers after capacitor explosions cause injuries

TTI is recalling about 780,000 Ryobi-branded electric pressure washers in the U.S. and Canada because a capacitor can overheat and burst, ejecting parts and causing fractures and other injuries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported 135 overheating incidents in the U.S., including 41 explosions and 32 injuries; consumers are urged to stop using affected models and request a free repair kit with a replacement capacitor.
