UPL reports 10% revenue rise in first quarter and returns to profit
UPL Limited increased revenue in the first quarter by 10% to 10,181 crore INR. Profit after tax and minority interests turned to 10 crore INR compared with a loss of 88 crore in the year-earlier period. The gross profit margin for the last twelve months was 49% and the company recorded its seventh consecutive quarter of revenue and EBITDA growth. UPL receives approvals from BSE and NSE for planned restructuring
UPL has obtained the required no-objection certificates from BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India for its restructuring plan. The exchanges reported no material objections; the approvals cover UPL as well as several subsidiaries and their shareholders. The board had already approved the plan on 20 February 2026 subject to regulatory clearances; further regulatory approvals are still pending. UPL beats revenue forecasts, misses EPS and stock falls
UPL reported 11% revenue growth for fiscal 2026 to 52,000 crore INR, beating forecasts. Earnings per share were 12.57 (expected 14.43), after which the stock fell 3.07%. EBITDA rose to over 9,500 crore INR (margin 19.9%) and net debt fell sharply by 48% to $1.6bn.
