Valeo achieves record free cash flow in 2025 despite headwinds in the automotive sector
Valeo reports 2025 revenue of €20.9bn (+0.5% like‑for‑like) and an operating margin of 4.7%. Valeo unveils strategy plan Elevate 2028 and confirms 2025 guidance
Valeo presented the strategy plan “Elevate 2028”, targeting €22–24 billion in revenue by 2028, an operating margin of 6–7% and free cash flow after interest of at least €500 million. The company aims to reduce its leverage to below 1.0x adjusted EBITDA and pursue an investment‑grade rating by 2028. Valeo warns at IAA of cheap Chinese imports and calls for EU countermeasures
Valeo CEO Christophe Perillat warned at the IAA that automotive equipment produced in China can be up to 30 percent cheaper and that cheap Chinese imports could undermine competitiveness and jobs in Europe. Valeo stresses that it produces locally but is calling on the European Commission for support and for minimum shares of European content in vehicles sold in the EU to secure production in Europe.
