ABL Diagnostics has been awarded by the Commercial Court of Évry the takeover of the assets and business operations of TEXCELL. The transaction includes strategic intangible and tangible assets (€225,000), inventories, leasing obligations and an economic project volume of about €2.9 million, financed from the group's available funds. ABL takes on 29 employees, will continue operations at the Genopole site in Évry-Courcouronnes and plans investments of roughly €930,000 as well as an increase in working capital of around €1 million. ABL Bio agreed a licensing and joint research deal with Eli Lilly for its Grabody-B blood-brain-barrier-penetrating bispecific antibody platform, bringing $40 million upfront and up to $2.56 billion in milestones. The pact, together with prior large deals with GSK and Sanofi, drove an about 80% share surge and made founder and CEO Lee Sang-hoon, who holds a 23% stake, a billionaire.
