Aduro Clean Technologies shares rose about 4% after the company announced a memorandum of understanding with AstroTurf to assess its hydrochemolytic technology for recycling end-of-life artificial turf. The aim is to recover polyethylene and polypropylene fractions and convert them into liquid hydrocarbons as a circular feedstock for petrochemical infrastructure. Earlier lab tests showed selective conversion of the PE/PP components; the agreement is non-binding and foresees further steps for recovery, purification and technology evaluation. Aduro Clean Technologies Europe has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Ortessa Groep to explore developing a feedstock logistics centre to supply the first-of-a-kind (FOAK) hydrochemolytic plant at the Chemelot industrial park. The partners will jointly evaluate storage, processing, quality control and logistics of suitable post-use feedstocks, including potential use of Ortessa sites in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
