Anteris has begun the global approval-relevant PARADIGM study in the US for the DurAVR transcatheter heart valve and has treated the first patients. The prospective, randomized and controlled trial will randomize about 1,000 patients 1:1 to DurAVR versus commercially available THVs and will test non-inferiority for mortality, strokes and cardiovascular hospitalizations at one year. Anteris Technologies has terminated its obligation to make further development contributions under the agreement with v2vmedtech and is paying a contractual penalty of $400,000. Payment of the penalty also ends the related development agreement and releases Anteris from any further contribution payments. The existing shareholders of v2vmedtech can either acquire Anteris’ entire stake at the prior contribution price or reduce the stake to an agreed minority holding; v2vmedtech has not yet informed its choice.
