Bally’s warns of doubts about going concern – stock plunges nearly 29%

In its 10‑Q, Bally’s disclosed that there are significant doubts about its ability to continue as a going concern, as it expects it will likely not meet covenants and liquidity requirements without additional financing. Casino operator Bally’s said in a mandatory filing that it has substantial doubts about its ability to continue as a going concern because it expects to fail to meet lenders’ liquidity and leverage requirements. The company is actively reviewing financing alternatives, including asset or equity sales and additional debt; a non-binding term sheet signed in July for a loan to finance the Bronx casino project has not been completed. The situation follows delayed and amended financial reports and a refusal by the auditor to provide confirmation; operationally, Bally’s reported a 21% increase in Q2 revenue to $792 million.
