Bilfinger tightens cost-cutting program and lowers 2026 forecast after Iran war effects
Bilfinger is accelerating its ‘Agile’ cost-cutting program, planning up to 1,500 job cuts and the creation of global shared services to become more flexible in responding to market changes. Due to higher energy costs and effects from the Iran war, the company cut its revenue forecast for 2026 to €5.3–5.7 billion and expects an adjusted EBITA margin of 3.2–3.6% including one-off costs (otherwise 4.6–5.0%). For the fourth quarter, provisions of €75 million are planned; from 2028 these are expected to yield annual savings of the same amount. The medium-term targets through 2030 (revenue growth of 8–10% p.a., adjusted operating margin of 8–9%) remain unchanged. » Más en deraktionaer.de
Bilfinger lowers 2026 forecast sharply: EBITA expectation falls by 45 percent
Bilfinger has significantly cut its 2026 forecast and now expects revenue of €5.3–5.7 billion and an EBITA margin of 3.2–3.6% (previously 5.8–6.2%). Based on the new ranges, the midpoint EBITA expectation falls from €339m to €187m, a decline of around 45%. The mid-term targets through 2030 remain unchanged (revenue growth 8–10% p.a., EBITA margin 8–9%), but analysts see risks to achieving them and expect that a pronounced recovery will only occur from 2027. » Más en finanzen.net
