Boeing expects large order from China, stock rises
Boeing shares rose about 1.2% in premarket trading after statements by US Treasury official Scott Bessent, who expects an announcement of substantial aircraft orders from China during President Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing. Bessent said talks would also include purchases of energy and agricultural goods as well as non‑strategic Chinese investments in the US. Tigress Financial raises Boeing price target to $295 and reiterates buy
Tigress Financial increased its price target for Boeing to $295 from $290 and maintained a Buy rating, citing rising air travel demand, a record backlog and growth in space, defense and cybersecurity franchises as drivers of upside. Separately, Bangladesh agreed to purchase 14 Boeing jets — 10 787 Dreamliners and four 737 MAX — a deal worth about $3.7 billion at list prices, with deliveries to be phased.
