Ecora Resources has agreed to sell its 2% net smelter return royalty on the Dugbe gold project in Liberia to a subsidiary of Elemental Altus Royalties Corp. for up to $20m, including a $16.5m up-front payment and contingent payments of up to $3.5m. The transaction is expected to complete within days, is well above book value and is intended to help Ecora reduce debt and shift strategically from coal toward sustainable commodities. Elemental Altus posted record revenue of USD 10.5m in the second quarter of 2025 and an adjusted EBITDA of USD 8.8m, with strong operating cash flow and USD 80m of available liquidity. Management highlighted organic growth, a potential US listing and acquisitions as strategic priorities, but warned of risks from gold and copper price volatility and possible listing delays.
