Massive forecast increase drives Ferrotec share higher

Ferrotec raised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the nine-month fiscal year to December 2026 from ¥36 billion to ¥58 billion (+61.1%), after which the stock climbed intraday to ¥7,890 and later stabilized at ¥7,440. The company attributes the upgrade to accelerated semiconductor demand, higher sales of consumables, expanded processing capacity and additional service business in parts cleaning. Ferrotec: revenue beats forecasts, net profit falls sharply

Ferrotec reported Q2 2025 revenue of ¥141 billion, representing a positive revenue variance versus expectations. Net profit fell 29% year on year to ¥6.3 billion, after which the stock slipped 1.77% in after-hours trading and closed at ¥4,725. The company is targeting revenue growth of more than 15% for the coming year and plans aggressive expansion in the semiconductor and AI markets by increasing manufacturing in Asia and the US.
