IAMGOLD has completed the sale of its 35% interest in the Bambadji joint venture and the Bambadji and Bambadji Sud exploration licences in Senegal to Fortuna Mining. IAMGOLD will receive approximately $70m in cash before Senegalese capital gains taxes and transaction costs; the total consideration to the JV partners is $200m in cash plus a 0.5% NSR on the first 1.75 million ounces of gold. Iamgold produced 188,100 attributable ounces in Q2 (371,700 H1) and remains on track for 2026 guidance of 720,000–820,000 ounces. The company generated $445.1 million in operating cash flow and $368.9 million in mine-site free cash flow in the quarter, repurchased $147.9 million of shares in Q2 and has bought back about $510 million since December. Côté Gold plant performance improved after repairs and crusher commissioning, though full-year cash costs and AISC are expected near the high end of guidance. IAMGOLD appoints Catherine McLeod-Seltzer to its board of directors, effective Sept. 1, 2026. McLeod-Seltzer brings more than 40 years of mining experience, has served on the boards of Teck Resources and Flow Capital, and was formerly chair of Kinross Gold. She co-founded several mining companies and was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in 2026.
