Invinity Energy Systems has appointed Volker Beckers CBE as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Beckers brings more than 30 years of energy experience, including leadership roles at RWE Npower and non-executive positions at Cornwall Insight, Piclo and Reactive Technologies. The appointment followed a selection process by the nominations committee and was supported by the National Wealth Fund under the Relationship Agreement of May 2024. Invinity has completed the delivery of a 20.7‑MWh vanadium‑flow battery system to the Copwood VFB Energy Hub in East Sussex. The installation is coupled with a 3‑MWp solar array and, the company says, will meet the daily electricity needs of about 3,000 households.
