Jubilee Metals has received two binding offers to buy its "Large Waste Project" in Zambia, both above the original purchase price. The company intends to name a preferred bidder within two weeks; both offers provide for a deposit by 27 August 2026 and allow up to 90 days for final due diligence, with final agreements to be signed shortly thereafter. Jubilee Metals reported H1 2026 revenue of $14.1m but suffered a net loss of $4.5m in its South Africa operations. Improvements in Zambia could not offset the losses; supply shortages of sulfuric acid, rising diesel prices and currency mismatches further hit profitability. Jubilee Metals has unveiled a revised mine plan for the Molefe mine that would increase copper output from the current 15,000 to 60,000 tonnes per quarter. Pit 2 and Pit 3 will be joined to form an enlarged open pit, with about four months of development work and removal of roughly 400,000 tonnes of overburden planned. The plan targets an average copper grade of around 1.4% with a waste‑to‑ore ratio of 6:1; high‑grade ore will be sent directly to the Sable refinery, while medium‑grade material will be processed on site.
