At the OTCQB conference LibertyStream presented its business model to recover lithium from produced water in the Permian Basin, turning a disposal problem into a revenue source. The first commercial plant is sized for 1,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year, requires about CAD 37 million in CapEx and is intended to allow modular expansions; production costs are quoted at roughly CAD 6,200 per tonne. The company recently raised CAD 42.5 million in equity, is seeking debt financing, aims for offtake agreements and a Nasdaq listing in 2026.
