MaaT Pharma starts phase‑2 IMMUNOLIFE trial with MaaT033 in NSCLC

MaaT Pharma has enrolled the first patient in the randomized phase‑2 IMMUNOLIFE trial, which is testing the microbiome therapy MaaT033 in combination with cemiplimab versus the investigator’s choice of best therapy in non‑small cell lung cancer. A total of 162 patients are to be recruited across 14 centers in France; the primary endpoint is disease control rate at 12 weeks. Recruitment is expected to take around two years, an interim futility analysis is planned for H1 2027, and first results after one year of follow‑up are expected at the end of 2030. MaaT Pharma reports that microbiome candidate MaaT013 (Xervyteg) achieved a one‑year overall survival rate of 54% in the pivotal phase‑3 ARES study in patients with steroid‑ and ruxolitinib‑refractory gastrointestinal acute graft‑versus‑host disease. The 66‑patient study across 50 sites showed a gastrointestinal response rate of 62% at day 28 and sustained remissions on follow‑up; the safety profile was deemed acceptable. MaaT Pharma: Xervyteg achieves 62% GI response rate in Phase‑3 ARES study

In the approval‑relevant Phase‑3 ARES study, Xervyteg® (MaaT013) produced an overall gastrointestinal response rate (GI‑ORR) of 62% at day 28 in refractory or ruxolitinib‑intolerant GI‑aGvHD, including 38% complete remissions and 20% very good partial remissions. Secondary endpoints showed a GI‑ORR of 49% at day 56 and 44% at three months; median duration of response was 6.4 months. Estimated 12‑month overall survival was 54% (67% for responders vs. 28% for non‑responders). The single‑arm study included 66 patients at 50 sites in Europe; an EMA decision is expected in H2 2026.
