McBride has completed the acquisition of the entire share capital of Eurotop SAS (Eurotab Group) for an enterprise value of €35.6m, including an agreed payment of €1.8m for acquired tax loss carryforwards. The purchase price is below the previously expected €40.0m and reflects a lower expected EBITDA for Eurotab for the year ending 30 June 2026. In a trading update McBride issued a profit warning, after which the share price fell about 10.5% to 148.4p. The company attributed the deteriorated profitability for the current and next financial year to persistent cost increases for petrochemical and energy‑intensive raw materials as a result of the Middle East conflict. McBride intends to pass the higher costs on to customers via an established three‑month price adjustment mechanism, but admits that delays in the effectiveness of these adjustments could weigh on short‑term margins. McBride has started the second tranche of its buyback programme and intends to repurchase up to £15.5 million of shares, with purchases running until 30 September 2026. In the first tranche the company bought 3,236,565 ordinary shares for about £4.5 million; the second tranche represents the remaining portion of the programme, which is capped at £20 million.
