Mercantile Ports & Logistics has appointed Marty Martin, a former senior CIA intelligence officer with about 30 years’ experience, to its board; the appointment is subject to regulatory approval. Karanpal Singh is leaving the board, while Amit Dutta will remain Hunch’s representative. Mercantile Ports & Logistics granted interim protection for port facility in Navi Mumbai

The Insolvency Appellate Tribunal has granted Mercantile Ports & Logistics interim protection for the Karanja terminal facility in Navi Mumbai and barred third parties from submitting expressions of interest during the proceedings. MPL has submitted a formal offer to redeem the outstanding debt of its wholly owned subsidiary Karanja Terminal & Logistics Pvt. Ltd. and invokes a lawful right of redemption; the company denies any prior assignment of the claim to Prudent ARC.
