Canadian company Military Metals intends to develop the Trojarova deposit in Slovakia into a modern antimony mine after Soviet-era work showed high ore grades. The project could produce 6,000–8,000 tonnes of antimony per year, covering a significant share of European demand, but faces high capital requirements, long permitting and construction timelines, and processing bottlenecks in Europe.
