Molecular Partners will in future concentrate on targeted radiopharmaceuticals for cancer treatment and plans to cut up to 55 positions (about 44%). The focus is the radio-DARPin candidate MP0712 against small-cell lung cancer (DLL3), which is being tested in a phase 1/2a study; initial safety data are expected in December 2026, efficacy data in 2027. Further radio-DARPin candidates (MP0714, MP0726, MP0730) are at various early stages of development. Molecular Partners has selected MP0730 as its third program for targeted alpha radiotherapies. The candidate targets the protein CD70, which is commonly expressed in clear‑cell renal cell carcinoma and other tumors. In animal studies, MP0730 accumulated strongly and persistently in tumor tissue while causing low exposure in healthy organs.
