The trustee of Mothercare’s pension fund has agreed to extend the deferral of pension contributions until March 2026; outstanding contributions for the financial year total £3.0m. A new payment plan is to be drawn up by 31 March 2026, with payments resuming from 19 April 2026 at an amount the trustee considers affordable. Mothercare also confirms a breach of the liquidity covenant on an £8m credit facility, but the lender has indicated support and is not demanding immediate repayment.
