Viaplay increases revenue, returns to profit with SEK 70 million

Viaplay reports net revenue of SEK 5.51 billion and a net profit of SEK 70 million for the second quarter; operating income was SEK 253 million. Organic streaming revenues rose 7% thanks to higher ARPU and stable subscriber numbers. The company is selling its Dutch business for EUR 142 million, is realising cost synergies from the Allente integration, and confirms its financial targets for 2026 as well as the goal of a double-digit EBITDA margin by 2028. Viaplay: Kepler Cheuvreux raises recommendation after sale of Dutch business

Kepler Cheuvreux upgraded Viaplay from "hold" to "buy" and increased the price target from 1.45 to 1.50 SEK, citing the announced sale of the Dutch business to Videoland (DPG Media) for around 1.6 billion SEK. The proceeds are to be used to reduce debt and, according to the analysts, strengthen the balance sheet and the focus on the Nordic core business. Kepler describes the transaction as strategically sensible and sees an improved risk-reward profile after the recent share price weakness. For Q2 the firm expects largely flat core revenue, slight pro-forma EBITDA growth of 1% and a negative free cash flow of around 0.3 billion SEK. » Más en de.investing.com
Viaplay acquires full ownership of Allente from Telenor for SEK 1.1 billion

Viaplay Group has reached an agreement to acquire the remaining 50% stake in Allente Group from Telenor for SEK 1.1 billion. With this acquisition, Viaplay will become the sole owner of the broadband and satellite TV provider Allente.
