Questerre Energy reports profit in Q2 2026 after turnaround at PX Energy

Questerre Energy reported earnings per share of $0.06 for the quarter to June 2026 on revenue of $47.94 million. Brazilian subsidiary PX Energy achieved a record profit, supported by stricter cost control and higher efficiency, and Questerre stood out with a successful commercial HCCO technology test. Funds from operations were CAD 18.3 million, adjusted operating cash flow CAD 19 million; Montney assets were also sold for CAD 23.5 million. Questerre forms 50/50 joint venture with Nice Capital for oil shale project in Brazil

Questerre and Nice Capital have signed a binding letter of intent to form a 50/50 joint venture to develop Parana Xisto SA (PX Energy) in southern Brazil. Both partners will initially provide up to $50 million in liquidity, with debt financing to be prioritized; Questerre can cover its share from existing funds. Nimofast will receive warrants to purchase 40 million Questerre shares, subject to certain price conditions.
