Red Hat has released the Digital Sovereignty Readiness Assessment Tool, which lets companies evaluate their control over data, software stacks, operations and auditability. The online tool divides sovereignty into four maturity levels and provides a roadmap with concrete steps for improvement as well as critical review questions for responsible parties. At Red Hat Summit Connect, Red Hat introduced a “Confirmed Sovereign Support” that keeps support data in the EU and guarantees EU-based personnel for handling. The company emphasized open-source stacks (OpenShift, Ansible, Podman) and partnerships with German cloud providers for sovereign cloud usage. Customers such as Volkswagen and Rossmann are using Red Hat solutions to make AI productive and to migrate from VMware-based virtualizations to modern, container-centered platforms.
