Quirk has more than 20 years of experience in the discovery and development of neuroscience drugs, most recently serving as chief scientific officer at Sage Therapeutics. Sepranolon, a synthetic isoallopregnanolone, targets disorders with excessive GABAergic activity such as Prader‑Willi syndrome, Tourette’s and obsessive‑compulsive disorders; more than 335 patients have been treated in studies to date.
