Tivic Health Systems has acquired production and development facilities from Scorpius and established the subsidiary Velocity Bioworks, which will operate as a CDMO from San Antonio offering contract development and manufacturing services. The acquisition is supported by financing led by 3i, LP: $16 million in debt and up to $75 million in convertible preferred shares for commercialization and growth; an additional potential equity credit line of $50 million is planned.
