Sims Metal raises outlook for fiscal 2026 and beats consensus

Sims Metal forecasts results for fiscal 2026 about 10% above the median consensus estimate. The improved outlook is driven by stronger business performance in the joint-venture areas North American Metal (NAM) and South American Recycling (SAR), which more than offset weaker EBIT contributions from the JEFe-SLS division. Sims Limited keeps interim dividend of AUD 0.14 despite share decline

Sims Limited will pay an interim dividend of AUD 0.14 per share, payable on 18 March 2026; the ex-dividend date is 3 March and the record date is 4 March. The dividend is 100% fully franked. In the first half of 2026 revenues were flat at AUD 2.5 billion and metal sales volumes fell 2%, while the SLS segment increased revenue by almost 70%.
