Toscafund holds 18% and in May made a non-binding offer of 250p per share (valuation around £1bn), which the board said it would recommend accepting if made formal. The recent sale of a portfolio of 12 Spire acute hospitals to Blue Owl and Moor Park for around £1.3bn supports the property value of the business and underpins the investment case behind the offer.
