Critical Metals Corp has appointed Rear Admiral (ret.) Peter Stamatopoulos to its advisory board; he will focus on the navy, global supply chains and the defence industry. Stamatopoulos served as head of the U.S. Navy Supply Corps and brings more than 35 years of logistics and leadership experience. The company also secured a $35 million PIPE financing and plans to issue 5 million common shares plus warrants for an additional 10 million shares at $7.00. After milder remarks by US President Donald Trump on the trade dispute with China, Critical Metals fell around 30 percent after the stock had previously surged. Shares of Critical Metals fell after the White House dismissed reports that the Trump administration was considering a stake in the rare-earths company. Earlier, a Reuters report and news of a new institutional investor had driven the share price up by more than 100%. A White House spokesman stressed that no specific deal with Critical Metals was being discussed, although there is ongoing engagement with the private sector.
