Walmart raises 2026 dividend to $0.94 and pays out $7.51 billion

Walmart signals moderate price increases after high fuel costs

According to Barclays, Walmart absorbed about $175m in fuel costs in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, weighing on operating results in its global distribution and logistics network by around 250 basis points. Walmart said the cost absorption was a price investment to support customer confidence and market share, but indicated that if cost pressure persists, moderate price increases could become necessary from the second quarter.
